Sale Supports Local Charities -
Do you want to get away from the stove and enjoy someone else's cooking? Barbara McDaniel sends this news from the Oak Grove Civic Club. Come out and join them for their semi-annual chicken stew, Vender/craft Sale and delicious home baked goods sale. The Vender/craft Sale and Bake Sale start at 8 a.m. and the chicken stew is served at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning, February 22. You will be able to purchase slices of your favorite dessert or buy entire cakes, pies or other goodies. The proceeds help us support LICS, God's Helping Hands, Nancy K. Perry Children's Home and other local charities. The Venders and Craftsmen are local people and have a wonderful array of goods. Come and join your neighbors for a morning of fun and fellowship.

The Mardi Gras celebration at Zion Lutheran Church tomorrow, February 22, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Zion Family Life Center. There will be oyster roasting, gumbo, shrimp n' grits, red beans and rice and bread pudding and more. For children under 10, there will be chicken fingers and French fries. There will be $5 raffle games, a live auction, face painting, balloon area and live music.
